Installing DPF filters/catalysts
Removal of the Old Emission Device
- Before installing a new emission device, determine the cause of the failure of the previous device. If the emission device was melted, check the ignition system. Repair or replace the necessary components.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Safely lift the vehicle to gain access to the emission device.
- Carefully disconnect the oxygen sensor connections, pressure lines, temperature sensors, and NOX sensor.
- Unscrew the emission device from the connecting pipes or flanges.
- Remove the old emission device from the vehicle.
Installation of the Replacement Emission Device
- Clean the connecting pipes and flanges to ensure a leak-free connection to the new emission device.
- Replacing gaskets, sensors, and injectors (SCR catalyst) is necessary. It is strongly recommended to install the sensors on the emission device before mounting it into the exhaust system to ensure leak-free connections.
- Install the new emission device with the new sensors in the correct flow direction. Check and ensure there is no interference with the chassis or other body parts.
- Attach the emission device to the connecting pipes or flanges. Start with the connection on the engine side, then the brackets, and finally the rear connecting pipe.
- Lower the vehicle and reconnect the battery.
- Start the vehicle, take a test drive, and then check the exhaust system for leaks. Repeat this inspection after 1000 km.
Mechanical damage, lack of:
• Warranty card (chassis number, vehicle mileage during installation, vehicle mileage at removal, workshop name, test report);
• Proof of product purchase (invoice);
• Proof of purchase for sensors and injectors, which may lead to rejection of the complaint.
If the above-mentioned documents are not provided, complaints will not be processed.
